PROFESSOR PILATES

 My name is Suneil Khakhar, and I am the founder of Professor Pilates. 

 

My passion for fitness started when I weighed 17.5 stone and wanted to learn how to lose weight and found myself clueless, having battled being overweight all my life. I took it upon myself to learn a skill set that I once feared and developed personal skills in weight management, keeping fit and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

 

I became a keen runner and, in the process, managed to injure my back badly and didn't know what to do to help myself. 

 

I turned to Pilates, became a regular participant, realised the benefits, and eventually qualified as an instructor.

WHY WORK WITH ME

In the last eight years of teaching, I have been fortunate to have worked with people of all abilities. Having been on a rollercoaster journey myself, I can understand and relate to people's daily issues and welcome all to my classes, regardless of ability. I thrive on participants enjoying Pilates and seeing marked improvements in their abilities, technique, and fitness levels.

 

When the gyms closed at the start of the lockdown in 2020, I needed a way to offer Pilates classes to my participants and developed Professor Pilates. 

 

With the current climate and uncertainty, it is apparent that fitness is pivotal to our daily lives yet not easily accessible for many people. 

 

Health should be the first pillar to create an optimal foundation. It provides us with benefits ranging from improved sleep, increased energy levels, peak mental and physical performance, sustainability and longevity of life.
